Saturday I went to visit the Peoples Art Exhibition at Touchstones Rochdale.

I went with blog friend Lyn from over the hills in Yorkshire.

Lyn stopped by for a visit to my studio and then we went for lunch in the Cafe at Touchstones before having a look round the exhibition.

I see a few of my Doodly Bird products have flown off the shelves in the fantastic Tourist Information Centre that is in the same building.

Talking about buildings I took a shot of this shop while I was in London and on the same day I read a piece in the Telegraph about how all shops now look the same and there are no individual character shops. I thought how ironic that I should have photographed this original 1830's Umbrella makers and repairers. I am going to be looking out now for more of the same. I bet I dont find many. I did see a Beltmakers shop near the British Museum and said to hubby there won't be many of them around.
