Nothing complicated, but at least they are handcrafted with love.
Simple matting and layering and a simple verse from here
Cardmaking over by lunchtime and the rain had stopped, we quickly got into our scruffs and headed for the tip......again....we will soon be on first name terms with the blokes who work there!! Then back home to get started while its dry.
Its the turn of the bottom of the garden, I have cleared the raised beds, weeded and topped with compost, the plants in the pots are to go to my daughter in laws, they are planting them in the woods at the back of their cottage. Theres Honeysuckle, Bluebells, Foxgloves, Hollyhocks, and Muscari to go and a couple of pots of chives and rosemary to re pot.
This is the grotty top corner where not much grows...only weeds... so we might clear and level the patch and slab it, it will give us a good solid area for emptying the huge compost bin and somewhere to stand the small green compost bin. I cleared out the greenhouse (sorry no pics) and gave it a good sweeping out, tomato plants have been put into big pots and the small pots have been washed ready for planting beans, we are behind with the growing but I'm sure they will catch up.
The White Lilac is just bursting its buds, this smells divine in the evenings when the sun has warmed the flowers.
Weigela, beautiful delicate pink flowers.
No heavy gardening for me tomorrow as its a day of socialising and eating cake!!
I'll be back at the weekend with more chunterings.
Take Care
