New Barn Cat and Purple Yarn

Dayle has spotted a new inhabitant of the barn.  A handsome orange and white tabby - I'll call her/him Ginger.  We've seen evidence of cat prints on my car as he uses it to jump into the window into the garage.  He's welcome here as we have a rodent problem due to the chicken feeder attracting them.

I went out yesterday to see the ophthalmologist and took these photos when arriving back home.  This is a wide angle shot.  I was somewhat nervous about going into the medical office.  I wore a N95 mask and all staff and other patients were all wearing masks.  Chairs in the waiting room were all 6 feet apart.  The bad part is the steam from my breath coming out of the top of the mask kept steaming up the lens on their equipment!  It was a pain for me and the technician.

This photo I'm standing in the same place but used the #1 setting.

A slight turn to the left.  Love my pink azalea!

Dayle picked these roses for me when he arrived home from a doctor's visit plus picking up a grocery order I put in for us online.  They brought it to the car and loaded it for him.  All he had to do was press a button to open the back hatch door.  He picked them because it's raining and he knew the flowers would be battered if left on the bush.

My purple yarn arrived!  Now I have to roll up a ball of it and start my shawl.  Today is the day!

And here it all is in all it's glory.  This is going to be my all-time favorite shawl, I can tell already.  This old hippie chick will not be lost in a crowd when wearing it.  LOL!

This is the pattern I'll be using, it's called the Sunday Shawl, designed by Alia Brand, New Zealand, the pattern can be found on Etsy HERE.

The lace edging is a design extravaganza!

That's it for me today.  How is your week going?  Stay safe!
((hugs)), Teresa :-)
