p.s. to me defragmentation of a RAID looks like some mythical ritual that someone would do 'just in case'. Same as warming up a car before driving. Supposedly increasing a lifetime of a car. But once you do RAID and other high efficiency/capacity Storage stuff mentioned in the links. You just dont defragment this stuff. Imho.
